It’s the last day of the year 2018 and I am ending this year with a challenge that I hope will start trending. It’s called the “Ride the Beat” Challenge (#RideTheBeat). To sum it up, it’s pretty much a challenge that will push you to challenge your talents.

I will be creating a beat, posting it on my “Ride The Beat” page and calling out everyone that has talent (including (but not limited to) rappers, singers, dancers, poets, etc…) so that I can see who can deliver on my beat better than I can. It will NOT be an entire song, just about 16-32 bars of music for anyone to do their thing on!

I am very excited about this and I’m really hoping that this will catch on!

This is not only for me to better myself with my music, but to also give people (artists of any type) out there a platform where they can express themselves to my music and show off their creativity while trending the hashtag #RideTheBeat.

Other efforts are going towards trying to interact with my fans more. I want you all to support me, but I also would like to support you all so that we can all grow together. So with that being said, I hope you all will take this journey with me into 2019! Show me what you can do while I show you all what I can do. Thank you!

Sooo, after a couple of months, I am finally back with another blog post.

This post is actually more of an update, as opposed to a blog post. I just want to let you all know that work, school, and music (at the same time) is a bit rough. Hence, my absence. However, I am NOT giving up on either and I am hoping to soon find a way to effectively and efficiently organize my time in a way that I can handle them all in a better way. So since school is currently on break, I want to focus more on my music and my fans.

I will be posting a video soon so that you all can be “caught up” on the ideas that have been floating around in the air that my manager and I have decided to put into effect so that I can interact with you all on a different level. Different meaning more personal in a way that I can share things with you and you all can have the opportunity to share with me. I am VERY EXCITED about this and I hope you all are as well!!! 🙂

I Had a Breakdown…

Sooo…on 10/25 I had a breakdown and although I was skeptical about sharing it I decided that I should not be afraid to humanize myself and explore my feelings and share them. So here is a video with a lot of rambling that explains what happened and why it happened and also how I managed to cope with it. I hope you all enjoy what you see and provide feedback for future videos and what you are interested in hearing me talk about.

So, I have been telling you guys that the wait for new music will soon come to an end…and NEW MUSIC IS HERE!!!!

I have reorganized the “Music” page and also the content under the albums. The “Some Experience Necessary” Album has been restructured so that it is more recognizable when you search for it on Tidal, Apple Music, Google Play, iTunes, Deezer and other places!!

OMG Guys and Gals!! I am sooooo excited to be able to share this moment with you all!!

Hey! Just wanted to let you all know some exciting news! I recently purchased a new sample pack (I will post the link to it at the bottom of this post) and the stems are pretty cool!! They all have their own “feel” to them and I am very excited to use these to make more music for you all. I have already created one beat using some of the stems from the pack and I am currently in the process of making another. I hope you all like what you hear once I post them. Good and bad feedback are all appreciated equally, so please let me know what you think! 🙂

So today was great! I had the pleasure of hitting up the studio with Evan Jones, who is ALSO an upcoming artist, amongst many other things. The session was really cool. There were lots of talk about next steps and goals for the future and also a lot of fantastic music that was created in a very chill setting. Though things were very professional we all also had a blast working toward a craft that we all have grown to love and have a HUGE passion for! SO be on the lookout for what we have coming up. I will post a snippet of our session on my music page (under the “Some Experience Necessary” Album) so that you all can have a taste of what is to come!! 🙂

Hey guys, it’s Mars! Today has been GREAT so far, and it’s only 2pm!!

This morning I had the honor of shooting for my first video thanks to Harmony Jones Productions! The video is for the song “Mars” and I cannot wait for you all to see it! Here are some of the candid photos from the shoot so that you guys can see how much fun I had!!

What is up?! Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve been occupied trying to get you all more content to view and listen to. So with that being said, I have added new music to the music page and also new photos under the photos page. Please feel free to check it out and let me know what you all think. Before this update, the songs posted were more on the R&B side of things, and so I have added some upbeat hip hop!

Hey guys! I’m back…Just wanted to update you all and let you all know that I did not get picked to be on the show ‘The VOICE’. I guess I just didn’t fit what the casting directors were looking for…and I am OK with that. I went in there and gave it my all and that was really all I could really do. Despite them not liking my sound enough, or whatever the case may be, other people in the line did and that was enough affirmation for me. I will not give up on my journey and I will continue to do what I can to try to get where I want to be with my music. I am happy with my performance and so were the others people in my group, and we all left happy knowing that we did the best that we could! No regrets at all. The worse they could have said was “NO” and now that we have heard that, we will continue until we finally get the “YES” we are looking for. I am proud of myself for actually trying and not letting fear talk me out of it. It was a great experience. I met some amazing people in line that I may never see again, hahaha. The experience was a great one and I’m glad I was there! 🙂 Thank you to all of my supporters. I appreciate you all greatly!!!

Hey guys! This is my audition video for the Beat The Crowd Promo of The VOICE auditions! I hope you all like what you hear!! 🙂

I will be auditioning this upcoming Saturday and I am so excited, yet nervous at the same time! I just want to let the world know my name and who I am and give this a shot. I’ve been wanting this my entire life, and to now be in a position where I can at least try to make something happen…It’s truly amazing! So I will keep you all updated with how things go.
